Fruit Smoothie

If you have made your own cheese at home, you'll notice you have a rather large amount of Whey left over. You do not want to discard this stuff, whey is full of enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and protein.

Here I made a simple mixed berry smoothie using the whey. The berries I wanted to use are not currently in season, so I used a frozen bag of mixed berries consisting of raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries. I have a Magic Bullet so I made them one at a time, but use a blender if you want to! I filled one of the Magic Bullet cups about 3/4 of the way with the frozen fruit, then about two teaspoons of simple syrup. If you like yours sweeter, add more! If not, add less! After that top it off with the whey. Cap it with the blender attachment and blend until it all looks well incorporated. This vitamin and protein rich everage is a great way to start the morning!
